Innovative food company rhubarb invests in Verteda hospitality solution

Warrington, UK – 9th March 2016 – Food company rhubarb is investing in hosted Point of Sale, Mobile POS and Stock Management technology from leading hospitality solutions provider Verteda Ltd. The solution, hosted in Verteda’s data centre, comprises InfoGenesis POS software (running in venues on Aures touchscreen terminals), Verteda’s Voyager mobile POS solution and Verteda Variance real-time stock and revenue management system.

rhubarb venues include Goodwood, fine dining at Ascot Racecourse, food and drink at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, exclusive ‘sky-high’ dining and drinking in London’s Sky Garden, Gallery Mess at the Saatchi Gallery, and private dining on the Coca-Cola London Eye.

With eight suppliers involved in the RFP, Verteda was chosen based on its cost v. benefit compared to the other vendors, its experience, partnership approach and commercial flexibility. “Our objective was to bring the ideal solution to our portfolio to deliver an exceptional guest experience and ensure streamlined, highly efficient operations,” says Laraine Beament, Finance Director, rhubarb. The company also wanted to ensure strong controls for securities and profit protection, and have flexibility to explore new revenue generation opportunities. “Verteda matched our requirements perfectly: a well-known brand in POS and hospitality, Verteda had the strongest technology and the most experience in the sports and leisure sector. That dovetailed perfectly with rhubarb’s own brand reputation for quality and innovation.”
