Harlequins Continue to Innovate

14 July 2015

July 2015, Warrington - This Season Harlequins extend their hugely successful eCash programme across the Twickenham Stoop.

Harlequins’ eCash programme has provided their supporters the option to pay cashless throughout their stadium, top up both online and in stadium and consequently be dynamically rewarded for their loyalty. The Harlequins eCash programme is a result of a close collaboration between Verteda and FortressGB with their award winning InfoGenesis POS and Access Control systems offering the perfect platform combination to deliver commercial and operational benefits but more importantly enhance the customer experience.

Creating an automatic eCash and loyalty system that is fully integrated with the venue’s core applications means generating a quicker, easier path for supporters to make purchases throughout The Stoop in particular at busy concession stands, without having to worry about their funds. For the venue it improves operational efficiency and vitally provides data from which they can further refine and enhance their service and offer.

“We have been delighted with how quickly supporters have adopted eCash, with just over 20% of all matchday transactions (and growing) now being eCash. We have now expanded eCash across all areas of The Stoop for 2015/16 season, including the popular Jolly Hog concessions and fully expect the uptake to increase.” Harlequins Systems Manager Colin Houlihan said.

“In addition to the excellent application integration between the Verteda and Fortress systems, our new upgrade to the fully hosted InfoGenesis POS platform has allowed us to innovate across the venue, including integrated digital signage, further contactless payment initiatives and revenue management tracking. The venue focussed innovations and the connections to our complimentary partners systems have made for a more efficient and dynamic match day operation, whilst delivering an improved experience to our supporters” continued Houlihan.
